Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you are saying, but it sounds to me as though you are suggesting that as a real estate agent in a certain area I should get other agents in the same area to place my link on their sites?
Why on earth would they do that when we are in competition? If I have misinterpreted your posting please correct me.

Links
You dont need links from other realestate agents in the area but having them from out of the area is probably not going to hurt you (the further ther better), they dont even have to be agents, housing industry in general is good but relevant links help - house maintainance, builders, plumbers, surveyers, conveyanceres that type of thing (they can all be local and relevant to your site).
Cheers

I understand what you mean, I get many links from looking at what other agents are linkıng to, not just locally but around the world. I also look for links relevant to the industry. But what I was trying to ask was whether the poster was suggesting I should link to my direct local competition?
I should also explain that outside of the highly developed world, many related local businesses don't even have websites. I realize that I am operating in a different situation to many of the members here.

Re: increase Google ranking
Well, for this you have to do solid on page optimization with Google guidelines. There are some another off page works like Article submission, Link building, Blog Comments and Forums participation…

Unfortunately the link was incomplete, it was missing http://. Correct link is:
Top 5 Updates Of Google Panda By SEO Survival Tips | SEM and SEO News
This was actually posted on Dec 27 so I'm not sure where the Google announcement of 2 days ago fits in? Anyway I can't see anything that this could relate to on Google Webmaster Central Blog. As to the blog on semandseo.blogspot.com I can't understand most of it, it seems to be written in a language of its own.
Could you perhaps explain what it is that you have found?
