Include your keywords in the anchor after doing research on them. You can ask for links from various sites & directories or post useful information in forums or blogs like so to get quality inbound links.

Another thing you will want is content. Lots of content (original) related to your keywords.

That's a simple version of what you can start with. If I went in depth, it would take me hours.

SEO includes not only keywords, but building links, writing blogs and comments, creating site unique content. All this done to promote the site. The harder you do it, the higher your site is in the rank.

One of the primary ways is to get quality links to your site on as many webpages as possible.

For example, if you are a real estate investor page, don't just title your links the name of your site necessarily, instead link your page but name the link "Real Estate Investor Information" or something along those lines. Get those links everywhere, in the thousands, and your rank will rise.

Real estate is a very competitive market. And online advertising for Real estate market is even more complicated.

If you do it on your own, then I suggest the slow approach. You will not reach the sky one one day. Things to avoid is to listen to every experts wanting to deliver the sky to you.

Here are some of the things you need to remember with regards to SEO:

1. On-Page Optimization - its done within the site. it deals with the proper use of keywords, title tags, keywords, description, meta tags, heading tags and alt attributes.

2. Off-Page Optimization - its done outside your site. it deals with building links. Blog commenting, forum posting, classified ads, social bookmarking, etc. are just some of the strategies that falls under Off-Page.

Do a site analysis to your site and begin doing on-page optimization. You need an effort to be success to this strategy.

Getting a high ranking on google takes time and i think there's no short cut for this. you have to do a lot of hard work and be patient on doing on-page and off-page optimization.
