Sitemap is very imp
Search Engines uses your Sitemap to learn about the structure of your site and to increase our coverage of your webpages. A Sitemap is a list of the pages on your website. A site map gives search engine spiders or robots a point of reference with links to all pages on the site, enabling them to spider and index your entire website quickly and easily. Without a site map, pages that are buried more than 1-2 clicks from the home page will take a long time to get indexed (if at all) which in turn will result in delayed ranking increases.
sitemap generator has a built-in "crawler" script that browses your site similar to human visitors, i.e. it opens your homepage, finds all links on it, then open each found link and searches for deeper links etc., until full site is crawled and all links are included in sitemap.

Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found. This is especially important if a site uses a dynamic access to content such as Adobe Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links.
They also act as a navigation aid by providing an overview of a site's content at a single glance.
Most search engines will only follow a finite number of links from a page, so if the number of links is very large, the site map may be required so that search engines and visitors can access all content on the site.

Old threads are making a comeback, eh? Well, at least it's nice to see that some people actually search relevant information prior to posting a new thread. And advice to any person new to real estate websites, submit your directory to the SE's. Search on this forum for detailed instructions on how to submit to the major SE's.
