Truthfully, I could care less about toolbar PR. As far as Google is concerned the only PR that matters is their internal PR - the one that determines the SERP's.

Personally, I measure the success of a web site by its rankings for KW's that drive targeted traffic and leads to conversions. The fact is that even if a site ranks well for competitive KW's, it may not generate leads and conversions.

My suggestion to everyone out there - especially those doing their own web marketing and SEO - is to get rid of your Google toolbar and forget about PR. Build quality links - not quantity links - and make sure that your site targets the demographic of your ideal home buyer.

Bottom line - I have never seen toolbar PR put money in the bank!

But here - not at all.
    Google cares for PR anyway
Here I'd rather say think and take care not of the quantity of links and content on your site, but quality of your site, and backlinks to it.

I've found that, if you want to do link exchanges, a lot of sites will turn their noses up at you if you have less than, say, 4 or 5 PR.

I agree with all the above. To answer the question we have PR5 on our main sites. We do not link with PR0. To scary. We look at every site before linking and they must meet our criteria to be either real estate or vacation rentals. We look at every sites links to insure they are a good neighborhood. There are other things we also look at before we link.

    SERPs is where it

    Default Google PR Rank

I only use PR to get an idea of how a page is received via Google. When I am looking at linking to a certain page, it is an easy indicater. NOt the only indicater I use, but gives me a start reviewing all the various link requests we receive.

Is there a quick way to find my site's pagerank other than just typing in my keywords and looking for it? I don't want to go through 100 pages to find mine

Default Finding Your Google Page Rank

You can find your google page rank by downloading the goolge toolbar at the following web site address:

    http://toolbar.google.com/index_xp.html?promo=mor-tb-en

Just remember, There is no direct correlation between the google page rank and your rankings. It is only meant as a guide.

Our site is a PR 6....but for some reason the Google toolbar is not showing any information when I query the PageRank. Has anyone else experienced this?
