    Default Google Traffic?

    Hi All,

Great forum here, seems to be some people who really care, and that's refreshing, I'll be a regular here from now on!

I have a question. My site has been sandboxed by google for the past 7 months or so, and I just don't seem to be able to break out. It's very frustrating. I know it takes time, but darn!

Anyways, my question is, how much traffic can you expect from a top 10 google listing for a highly competitive keyword term? I noticed that some of the moderators in here do business in Las Vegas, and from looking up your sites, you rank very well on msn, google, and yahoo for las vegas real estate.

How much traffic can you expect from a term like las vegas real estate from yahoo, google, and msn once you finally get into the top 10, or better yet the top 3? I really appreciate the information, it will help me keep the faith!

    Thanks!

Welcome to the forums ffang2, We are glad to have you join us. What real estate market do you work in?. To expand on a little more other than what Vegasmack said. It will depend on your market, how many real estate websites are listed in your top 10 as well. If you are in a competitive market, you could receive anywhere from 1000 to 2000 visitors a day to your site.

The issue is not how many visitors you are getting but what do you have in place to convert those visitors to prospects. After that what do you have in place to follow up with them. Its not only about the positions you have on the search engines, but also how well you follow up and what information your site can offer those visitors..More to follow later this week. Once again glad to have you onboard with the real estate forum.

Ok first of all you have to be in the top 20 to ever be found - only a tiny % ever looks lower than this. To get decent traffic my rule of thumb currentl is try and get 'above the fold' (where the user has to scroll) how much traffic you get can be greatly affected by your title and description. Result 2 that appears more relevant to the reader can often get more clicks than result 1.

True. Our traffic didn't jump at all when we were in the #1 spot. So now I don't even worry about it.

Hi guys, thanks for all the great information.

I'm working with my sister in law, who is a realtor in Las Vegas. Her website is http://www.mslasvegasrealestate.com. I mostly just design websites, but I've had some basic SEO success in other industries. Breaking into the top terms for real estate in Las Vegas has been something else again though!

Kudos to Las Vegas Homes and Vegas Mack, your sites are really ranking very well on all the major engines. Very impressive work indeed!

Thanks for the flowers ffang2, but it is only through the grace of God. All we really do is pray.

Glad to see you on board. Like your site and Michelle is a doll.

Hope to hear from you often.
