    Default Beware of Fake PR!

Believe it or not PR could be faked.
Just to be sure, use this to double check the PR.
It would be wise to check first before exchanging links.

Fake Page Rank? Really? Yes, ok. Page Rank can be faked though this is not common practice.

Don't trust websites to give you the correct PR of a particular site. If you are looking at Page Rank's of websites then you need to install the Googlebar. This will eliminate any possibility that the PR is incorrect.

Oh comon Fake PR!! This means that fake Google!!

Quite impossible if you check your PR with some good sources. Its better to check with google own toolbar and you will never regret the results.

interesting, I wasn't aware there was fake pr out there, besides those sites that are using tactics that are less than acceptable, regardless I wouldn't base linking strategy on PR....

It is indeed possible but i don't care about PR of sites.
I try to focus on SERP, not on PR.

This is true. Fake PR and fake back links.

I was about to buy a expiring domain that was listed as having 500 back links, but I was smart enough to check the link using yahoo site and sure enough yahoo show the BLs. Then I went to check for the url on the site that was listed as having a backlink. No backlink was found, instead it was a back link to another site.. yes, all 500 of them went to another url that was probably being redirected at this one.

WOW! Just as well you did your research or you would have been pissed after the fact. One must always look into things because they are not always what they appear to be, especially on the internet.

I think that domain which is expired can have incoming links as the domain is expired and not the incoming links. So this is not so unique ..
