Question Is Google escaping some words?

I've noticed that some words such as "to", "for" is not looked at by google.

Not sure if it's a good idea to have a number 4 instead of "for"
    as in this domain.

I agree with you on this one! I think it certainly would be a better idea to add a number that is "4" instead of "for". property4sale.ca is certainly a good example you can take a look at!

Well the words which you have mentioned as "to" , for are called as stopping words..thes are not taken into consideratin while google searched for any term...you can use 4 but i dont think it will much help you in optimization..

    Default Some words..

I could not get the escaping part ? But I personally think it is better to use FOR...
For instance go to google and search for "Homes For Sale" You will see google is showing each word Homes, For, Sale bold.. It is aware of "For" usage, and it does associate with the search phrase........ You better use those terms...I personally think using number does not make much sense.....

I have seen some pretty funny short hand stuff on my StatPress pages (bying a home...frst tm buyrs....etc.) so maybe using "4" would get some younger clients who are used to the texting a chat language.

Personally, I would just stick to your guns and use "for" especially if it's Home For Sale, or something like that.
