What Would a #1 Ranking in Google be Worth to You?
I ran across something the other day that interested me. A guy was offering to lease me a domain name with a fully built website. He said he would brand the site with all my contact info and details about my company and setup the contact and lead generation forms to email directly to me. I would NOT have control of the website though; any changes would need to be submitted directly to his company and they would change it within 24 hours. So basically I would be paying for a lead generation site with my contact info on it. The kicker is, the site ranks #1 for a few very good keywords. He also offered me a deal where I only pay IF I receive a minimum of 2 leads a month.
I don't want to say how much he is charging because I think it may influence but, how much would YOU pay for something like this? I feel the guy is legit, I just don't know what this would be worth.Houston Real Estate Appraisals - Your #1 Source for Greater Houston Real Estate Appraisals and Market Info.

Only 2 leads a month is not worth anything to me. But 2 leads that turn into actual closings is worth alot. Exactly how much it is worth depends on the closings and the actual money that goes into my pocket.

I agree, but I understand that someone can only guarantee a lead... you can't depend on someone's ability to close a deal. Also I'm a real estate appraiser, so leads are easier to close for me.
But probability would suggest that the more leads you get, the more you can close and since there is no long term contract... i'm opted to try it. I'm also taking into consideration that being on the top for terms that I'm not ranking for leaves me time to work and not spend my time chasing #1 for those terms. I calculated that I make about $75/hr on average, so time spent working is money earned.Houston Real Estate Appraisals - Your #1 Source for Greater Houston Real Estate Appraisals and Market Info.

For what keywords is it ranking on 1st position ?
It all depends on the keywords and also check a few times the position to ensure it is not disappearing.

I would never pay for this. Not even 5 bucks.
I believe you do your own blogging/website building and get your keywords from what you want. Maybe after a certain point, you can leverage money in this way, but don't pay fro 2 leads a month. Plus you don't have control....uh, why would you pay for someone else to control the website???Steve Howe - REALTOR - RE/MAX Advantage Plus

There are a few thing I would like you to check first:
- Is the site really number one in Google? I mean, have you checked?
- With what keywords? Remember a site ranks differently with each keyword.
