I think that what you are missing is a good keyword research if you point to keywords with low searches you will get low traffic, and your seo efforts will be useless

When your site comes up in the search google is using your meta description and it looks spammy and not very inviting to a consumer. Rewrite your description so it invites someone to click through to your site.

Florida, just remember, to get a large amount of Google traffic, you must get your website positioned in the top 3 of page one. Over 65% of clicks come from those 3 spots. However, don't focus to much on those 3 keywords. I would focus more on longtail results becuase that is where most of your traffic will come from. Surrounding anchor text with many different keywords will help you with that.

Also do infdividual keyword check. Check the rankings of your keywords. You could go to keywordranker.com and maybe you should make adjustments with those.

If you are on page two you will get much fewer clicks than if you are on the top 3 spots on page one. Also check your meta tags to make sure they are relevant with the searches being made. If the meta tags do not match the keywords people are searching for then they will likely skip over your listing and go to the next.

Next time, before you spend a ton of time on SEO, test which keywords actually generate clicks by using Adwords.

You've just described a very common newb mistake in SEO, just trying to get to the top. If your description and title do not "call" to the visitor they will just pass you up. Furthermore, ranking for a broad term such as "Florida Real Estate" means absolutely nothing. Most people type more specific, long term phrases such as "find realtor in tampa florida". Those are the MONEY keywords that you should be chasing. Always go after visitors that are ready to "buy" what you are selling. Another good suggestion is to run a small adwords campaign and test a few ads. Ads that get better click through ratios will lead you to title and descriptions that you should use for separate pages and then concentrate ranking those pages for their terms.

2nd page ranking is not helping a lot, many people don't look at the 2nd page of google searches. Even at the bottom of 1st page you will not get a lot of visitors from google.
It is very important to do keyword research to know what people are typing in google.
