Yeah, it's funny that some people pay for other people to do perform some of the backlinking techniques etc. in order to get ranked.

It's not hard at all. I've been blogging for 3 months along with doing the backlinks and such and it's working!!!

The hardest part about building backlinks is making it consistent, it's something you have to do each and every day, and the delay of up to a week for the results to show up can be disappointing at times.

Yeah, it's pretty surprising to see that people will business to do standard SEO tactics, although it can be understood. Granted, you need a quality SEO company that will continuously get you backlinks over time versus a ton within the span of a couple of days. But, it can be tedious work, so it can be understood.

Another thing (which I'm assuming some SEO companies will say to convince people to use them) is that a lot of people think that you will quickly see results when you do SEO. Granted, in some instances this may be true (i.e. very long tail keywords that get little to no traffic), but I would bet this is a big, illusory factor in getting people to buy SEO services.

Link building must be a habitual daily practice to acheive very high rankings. I notice all too often webmasters who link build for 2 months, then take 6 months off, only to be passed by someone hungrier.

You are right, doing SEO is easy enough the prolem is that initially, its very time consuming and not everbody has time to do it.

I can understand why somoe people would use an agency in such cases and it all depends on how big your company is and whether you can afford to do it

I'm not sure that someone would know for sure what are the exact big G algoritms, for search engine rankings, however we can all guess based on "try-mistake" method. However most of the SEO experts agree that the best tactic is a combination of all tactics that are explained around the web. I've seen some people using black hat technics and they are never caught by google so it is up to us anyway.
