    Default Google and its filters!

I just would like to raise some questions on Google filters! The main reason for which Google often penalizes websites is considered content duplicate! How to avoid being filtered by Google search engine and what actions should be performed to get a website out of filter! What advices and recommendations would you provide to return a website to its previous positions if it is filtered by Google! Thanks in advance!

Well, your question raises another question: did you write your content yourself or did you get it from other sources (i.e. article directories)? If you got it from other sources, then your best bet is to modify at least 30-35% of it, preferably more towards the top (as spiders crawl pages from top to bottom). If you have written the content yourself and the big G is considering it duplicate content, you should check a couple of things: 1.) Go to Copyscape (www.copyscape.com) and do a scan to see what other sites have that similar content. If it finds something, then change the content to something that is unique. 2.) When you post unique content on your site, you should always wait at least 24-48 hours before posting/syndicating/distributing it to other areas. Sadly, if you distribute it right when you post it on your site and someone puts on their own, it all comes down to which site the spider crawls first. Hope that clears some things up.

I is important that you check if someone copied your site's marketing text. You can do this by searching for the title of your page or a sentence in your page then add " ". Then you can report it to google for philsing page

Yes I had that happen to me. They are actually good about correcting that issue, and they responded to me rather quickly as well.

I think it stands to reason that if your site is flagged in G's duplicate content filter, then the first step to getting it out would be to remove the duplicate content.

Not saying this is you, but a lot of startup blogs believe they can make a lot of $$ by just copying other blogs articles into their own, ride it out a few months until they get PR, and then start selling ads themselves. Google doesn't like this practice, so if your site is in any way doing something like this or similar, G isn't going to let up on the filter until the content is unique.
