I would slip you advertising between the two. Each places you ad on different sites. Yahoo does allow for a larger ad with more text, has a better interface and allows you to auto adjust the ad to the keyword. Google is displayed on more sites, but you get less ad and the interface is poor.
Both allow you to control the amount you spend on a monthly basis.Neal M - HouseViewOnline(TM), HouseView(TM)

Don't bother with Yahoo & MSN
MSN and Yahoo are both fairly easy to optmise for in the organic results and, in any case, they have so little traffic that its hadly worth worrying about them and diffinetly not worth bothering with a seperate advertsing account.

Google AdWords
I currently use Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing and have found that Google provides more hits. However, I recently read an article stating that Yahoo searchers spend more money online than Google searchers. The percentage was significant - above 50% (I think). If you're trying to get visitors Google may be the way to go but if you're trying to get purchasers you might want to stick with Yahoo. You should really try them all and find out which works best for you and your products/services.

I use all three, but not for every campaign. I run every campaign on google, then the ones that are more profitable and have a lot of traffic I'll run and yahoo and msn. Even though yahoo and msn have less traffic, it can still convert. Depending on the target market, yahoo and msn can convert better then google. Of course traffic is less, but it's all about conversion!

JBCollins - Reply - switching to Yahoo
JBCollins,
Are you testing different things (titles, ad text) with your Google AdWords? Are you getting hits and they aren't converting? What's not working?Jayson Gibson

I like Google
I prefer Google Adwords vs yahoo because my ads start instantly and are mostly instantly approved or not. Yahoo you spend all the time and effort to create your ad copy and submit keywords and then you wait 24hrs to see if they are approved. If Google's quality score likes your site your way better off. If however Google doesn't like your site or landing page your stuck with $10 clicks or moving to Yahoo or MSN.

I like adword, most of the traffic comes from Google. Yahoo too much fraud, MSN hardly any clicks.
True for Yahoo and MSN both, hardly any real clicks.Just a Professional

I would go for Adwords if you ask me. If you have a tight budget on what you want to spend daily. You can always go after long tail, misspellings, and match types that will lower the CPC.
