    If I'm not mistaken, Yahoo was the no. 1 Search Engine and Directory that time, but Google got so popular and now its the no. 1 SE today. I think it'll stay on top for a long time coz its improving as time comes.

    yeah who knows...maybe yahoo got a plan...i heard yahoo is merging with other companies to...so i think google should still work hard before yahoo overtakes them...

    They are the standard in the industry, and getting better all the time. Competition is healthy, so hopefully MSN or Yahoo or someone else can give it to them in the future, but for now they are doing a good job providing good search results to users.
