A loaded question, for which a plethora of answers/opinions have been posted on this forum. In a nutshell, SEO will give you long-term gains, whereas PPC is very temporary.

PPC is usually great to discover what keywords you should try ranking for, to get the best conversions. Sure, you could rank for "charlotte commercial property management", but if it doesn't convert, it's a worthless ranking.

Expert tip: If you don't want to run PPC long term, spend some cash on PPC for a few months, find out what converts the best, then change your title tags and build links for those keywords.

errrr, I would have to disagree.

PPC is not temporary. Maybe it is different since you're likely marketing real estate, but I have affiliate campaigns that have been running for over a year now.

SEO gives you a great foundation though. So I'd recommend doing both!

Perhaps more precisely, the PPC is not for temporary. But it is a quick way to bring in traffic, provided you have the right strategies in making an ad campaign. While SEO is a way that takes more time and effort.

SEO is better then PPC because mostly traffic is coming from organic search engines.

In terms of "cost" SEO is going to be cheaper than PPC. But I'm not sure you can say one is better than the other in terms of effectiveness -- they are equally important if you want to maximize your visibility.
Try to find a way to differentiate yourself from the competition is more important anyways...
