Google 'KeywordToolExternal' and then click on the first site you see.. not the paid one but the organic one.
Then place some of your keywords in where it says to "Find Keyword" .. When the box pops up with results, you'll want to click on far,top right hand corner where it says "Columns" and check "Estimated Avg. CPC". Then hit 'Save'
Now you have the cost per click of each keyword. It's believed that Google pays you about 68% of the price they get. My experience seems to be closer to 50%.. but this will give you an idea of which keywords pay better.

I'm averaging just under a dollar mostly, I've heard it can be a lot more in the real estate market. But haven't seen it happen to often.

Price per click really tend to fluctuate depending on the bidding for the keywords. I experienced a slide from $1 to 30cents a click just recently. Also, I think if you have a low clickthrough rate to your AdSense, Google serves you the low-bid ads. That's just a theory though but it helps to keep your content relevant and ad placement optimized.
