Choosing the right placement for your ads is HUGE! I changed the placement of my ads and the color of the links a little over a month ago on the advice of someone in another forum and increased my adsense revenue by a whopping 35%. I'm now ni the process of changing all of my ads!

Beside layout of the ad, sometimes it's the matter of visitors' interest in that particular topic. A friend of mine has a blog on TV shows, he has just simple ads but every other visitor clicks that ads.

Place the ads naturally within your article and below the navigation panel using the same color scheme of your website.
