Wow, wordpress and blogger didn't satisfied you? What exactly are you looking for in a blog host? If you want you can self host using a certain platform.

There are many free and commercial wordpress real estate themes. Do a search on WordPress + Realestate templates/themes
It is considered wise to stand on the shoulders of giants but foolish to put yourself in front of them.

web developer here
Hello, I'm a first time poster in this forum. Hopefully will write many times more. Sorry to jump in like this but I can help on this topic.
Although there are many free blog solutions such as blogger, hosted wordpress and tumblr I always recommend actually hosting your own wordpress installation.
The reasons are:
- You can choose your domain name without having to redirect it
- You can edit and customize the actual script pages and integrate them with other scripts.
- You can choose your hosting provider and have control of your server and specifically server analytics.
- Such things as newsletter integration to your user database table can be comfortably done with access to your own server without having to worry about daily caps.
I can include the following:
- Installing the script in a server
- Helping you find a good domain name
- Filling out around 5-10 static pages
- Creating the admins, editors etc.
- Applying a theme
- Installing common plugins and those you might might want
- A 3 month maintenance
- 1 year of hosting in a private server (rackspace)
Web Developer, created the following real estate script. If you have any questions about it please let me know.

I also suggest making your blog "dofollow" (Which means removing nofollow tags from the comments). It'll bring you quick traffic, but you'll also make sure to moderate the comments section for spam.

I think your best option would be to purchase a domain and hosting. No offense but if $40 for all of that for the whole year is too much I would take another look over my budget for buying properties. If you have your own domain and hosting you can control everything about the website as well as have more opportunities for branding and driving targeted traffic. Check out GoDaddy.com for information on package deals with domain, hosting, and blog setup. There are hundreds of real estate themes out there but for $200-$300 you can get a custom design.
