Default New Applicant, did I just screw up?

Sigh. I am halfway through study and taking an online course, and finally submitted my application to the state. However, I ran into a snag with the misdemeanor etc reporting. The problem being I don't really remember the details of 20 plus years ago. I didn't want to, but I checked of NO for anything to report, since I couldn't figure out where to look. I had a DWI from CT around 22 years ago, or more. I took a class but thats all I really remember. I don't recall what the actual final judgement was and don't know where to look for records even after spending 2 hours online trying to figure it out. I even paid for a public record search which came up with nothing. There was also a slight altercation at a bar which likewise I can't find any information on. I know I bailed my car out for the first, and did the class. For the second I think I paid $25 and was done. For the first I can't remember even the county. Or if it was state? I remember the words nolo contendre and adjudication being bandied about but as a young naive girl I didn't even know what they meant or what I was agreeing to or how it would effect my future, I just wanted to move on. I do remember "won't be on your record" etc. But I really don't know where it all stands now. I know, you'd think I'd have kept something, but I didn't. Along the lines of forgetting the past and moving on to a bright future. I've been in Florida for 16 years, no record of anything beyond a parking ticket. I had my stockbrokers and insurance licensing. But I hope I didn't just shoot myself in the foot for this license.

Any insight? What may happen? Will I just get a request for more information, and if so, does any one have any idea of how I find out my own record in CT?

I understand they don't like lieing on any application...the response is a 10 year revocation. I would bring it up to them just as you did here. It's much better than them coming to you. I have heard the application would get approved and the some months later they find out (after you have joined the board, paid for all the little things we need in this biz) only to confront being booting for 10 years.

    Honesty is the best policy.

    Default All is good

Thanks for the reply I had forgotten about this post. But all is good, I was agonizing over nothing. I contacted my former state and paid for a record search with my social and fingerprints and they could find nothing on me. Guess it wasn't a big deal as I traumatically remember it being 25 years ago.

Anyway I have since passed the test but have yet to hang my hat anywhere.
