Buying Apartments Buildings
Does anyone have any success at purchasing apartment buildings. I'm a newbie and I just started using a program called "Buy Your First Apartment Building". It has alot of knowledge and I would recommend it to newbies. I just need some advice from someone who has been there done that. Please share your experiences.

Commercial property
Thanks so much for your post. Our team does do alot of work with bigger multi-family properties as well as commercial property up here in the Minneapolis real estate market.
I would highly recommend getting in touch with a top real estate agent or team in your area that has experience with these types of properties for sale. He or she will also be able to direct you to a lender that lends on this sort of investment property.
As you can imagine, financing guidelines are changing almost daily. But with such an abundant supply of residential real estate (homes, townhomes, condos for sale) on the MLS....there is certainly no shortage of larger multi family and commercial as well. It is a great time to be a buyer!
I hope this info helps.Minnesota MLS & Minneapolis MLS Search homes for sale in Minneapolis, St Paul at MN Multiple Listing Service. We specialize in buying and selling residential and investment properties. Start Minnesota MLS search for all Minneapolis real estate for sale in Twin Cities, MN

Have you found a mentor yet? Your best bet is to a talk to agents in your office that have experience in representing clients buying/selling these types of properties. I always like to understand what is important to my buyer as well. Typically buyers start by location, then look at the numbers and then if those two look ok they may physically go look at the property. The hard part is learning to analyze the financials. This is why a mentor is important.

Apartments
I don't have any experience but there is a great company here in Houston, TX called Lifestyles Unlimited that is an awsome tool. They also have radio show everyday with Dale Walmsley that is very informative on am radio.
