    Default Interested in Owner/Seller Property?

Are you looking at a house which is listed by an owner/seller? If so, let me take you through my experience. When I was "looking", I found a house that was more than I ever dreamed of having but it was for sale by a private owner. I hired an attorney to help me manage offers and negotiations.

After several offers and counter offers, the owner wanted to meet me at my prospective house. The leverage would have been on the side of the seller, an uncomfortable situation for me when I considered it would be two against one and I did not want to put myself in that position. I called my attorney and presented the request from the sellers to him. He suggested we all meet in his office. I felt relieved since his plan would give me some leverage. It worked out really well. We came to a negotiated offer which was accepted, a win/win situation for both buyer and seller.

    Happy House Hunting !
