Default My Bookmarks Menu Gets Out Of Control

I don't know about anyone else, but I have a habit of bookmarking pages and never going back to them. It's almost a curse. I find a really interesting page on the internet and I say to myself, "This is something I should frequently use!"

    So I bookmark it.

And that's the end of that...

It vaguely reminds me of that commercial where the guy is surfing the 'net and he gets to a page that says: You Have Reached The End of the Internet.

Anyway, tonight I was going through my collection of bookmarks to see what they were and whether I should keep them or not. The list had become so long I had to use a scroll button.

I did find a rather interesting site, primarily written for graphic designers, but some of the articles are useful to anyone who needs to promote themselves. One article, in particular, struck my fancy, and I'm still reading it now but I thought I'd share.

It's called "Marketing Your Web Site on a Shoestring. Some SEO Basics." While it's not geared toward real estate, it has some very helpful information you might be able to use...

I have been having a similar problem recently. Before I got involved in real estate this summer, it was never a problem but now it is a big one as I am always searching for new ideas and stuff.

One thing I have done to help ease the problem a little was create a database of all the passwords and stuff to sites like this one and sites like activerain and wannanetwork.com, etc. I have the social networks listed by category including their url and the password so I never bookmark those sites.

Then in my actual bookmarks, I have links to real estate articles and stuff that I plan to use as references to future articles that I am planning to write and stuff, but then again, half of them have been there for a few months so, like you I do not really go back to them. I guess I am a proclastinator.

I have an excel spread sheet with all the sites and emails accounts with all the passwords. Its getting pretty ridiculous how long the spread sheet is, lol.
