I'm conducting research for a possible side business doing real estate photography. Basically I'm wondering if what I had in mind is at all feasible.

Quick backstory: I'm a photographer. A friend of mine was having trouble getting an apartment in his house rented using Craigslist. It was empty for six months. I decided to do him a favor and take some nice pictures of this apartment, employing rather expensive equipment. I post-processed these photos just enough to make the place look good without the images being misleading. The apartment was rented in two weeks.

I later did this favor for another friend and the effect was much the same: a house that had been on the market for several months rented out within a month of posting the jazzed-up photos. What's amazing in this case though is that since we were getting so much feedback, we decided to put it up for $200 more than they were previously asking for rent. They got it.

So my questions are as follows:

1) Do you find the anecdotes I just related believable? (They are absolutely true, I'm just wondering if the effect of good photos I'm describing here seems like BS.)

2) Would you be willing to pay for a service that dispatched a photographer at your convenience to a property, and then hosted the finished images online for you?

3) Would you pay $100 for such a service? (Seems like a no-brainer to me, but still)

Any input here is very much appreciated.

Ok, after reading this it almost sounds like I am a spammer about to post a link to such a service, but I assure you I am not.
