    Default Rent or Own House

Do you own the house where you live or just rent it?

Now I rent a house as I can't buy it right now, but if I had a chance you would never rent a house, it's better to buy a house and to live on your own.

We are renting on our house for four years now but it will end this april 30 because we are finally moving in to our dream house and since the lot is a lot bigger we are all constructing a two door apartment in it and have it rented or perhaps a rent to own scheme would work.

Sadly I am renting from my friend whom I live with. I went through a divorce recently that put me in a difficult financial situation, but I will recover and own again!

There are many instances in which renting may be more financially prudent than owning. For example, if you don't plan to live in the area for very long or if your job is likely to transfer you elsewhere, you would be better off renting. Taxes, commissions, repairs, those are all expenses associated with owning property that you would not have to worry about as renter. To answer the original question, I own (we dont have any plans to move any time in the foreseeable future).

It is most preferable to own it rather than renting it but if you can afford to own one, I think rent-to-own properties would be the best solution.

Agree to Lease_Abstract. Rent to own properties are good alternatives if we can't afford to own.

actually my home is rent to own, it will be best to have owned home. Before we pay for rent of our homes and we have just realize that it will be practical to look for a home that we can own after some years of paying monthly mortgage.

we can not hurry things up, if you do not have money to buy a new home, you can start with renting home for your family and then start saving to buy a home in the future or apply for a house loan from banks so you can have your own home in a sooner time.
