    Default Dmoz

Getting listed there provides a lot of inbound traffic.

It just takes a long time to get listed... so submit to the proper category and move on other directories, don't just wait around to be listed.

    Default Compete Realty I agree

from what I have read DMOZ is a good way to add credibility to your site and it has a big role in Google rankings. I would not waste a lot of time trying to get listed. Submit your site and move on. If you get denied reapply and move on.

    Default dmoz submit

I submited to dmoz back in April and I was reviewed in October (6 months) but haven't heard anything or been listed.

    Arrow dmoz, how they work

dmoz seems inconsistant and weird to me.
I've got one of my sites listed twice there.
The other site is listed but they never changed my title after many times i tried to edit it.

Since it's a human edited directory and all entries are done by people, i think it's really important to have complete contact information on your site before it gets accepted.
They reject sites that have no physical address and telephone number.

If you submited once, and did not get listed; just move on and don't waste any more time on dmoz.
