Yeah, swapped and lazy(DMOZ)... When I used to be an editor there i would check the site submission from the inside to look and see if my site had been even looked at (similar to the way the forum you posted does) and my editors came around every 2-3 months and then wouldnt add any more to the list because it was at 199.....
lol..
DMOZ is losing it touch..IMHO

I would use the term lazy and corupt..lol. I have serveral submissions in with them and nothing ever seems to get placed on the directory. We had one site that was placed in the directory and after a post where we disagreed with one of the editors the next day the site was removed from the directory.
This doesnt mean that all the editors there are lazy or corupt. There are really some good people there that try to help. but they are few and far between. I wish there wasnt so much importance placed on DMOZ directory with Google but this is a fact none of us can change at this time.
To be honest I like the MSN directory a lot better.Looking For A Real Estate Specialists in Las Vegas Check out our Las Vegas Real Estate Portal. Find Las Vegas Homes or get info for Las Vegas Investment Real Estate.

Use EXTREME Caution when posting to DMOZ Forum!!!
And be careful! As Las Vegas Homes pointed out, when he asked about a status an editor responded with a sarcastic post. Of course my occasionally confrontational partner from Las Vegas fired a salvo back. I went into the forum to try and make peace, and even though I remained professional and courteous, my site was removed from the directory. Anyone wanting documentation and a thread link can PM me.

The DMOZ editors claim to be selfless and public servants when in reality they get HUGE benefits. They never show their own sites because it would break a whole into what they portrait a perfect site should look like.
DMOZ is a great concept but depends on the editors so much that they run it now and have created this exclusive club of webmasters who hook up themselves and their friends and clients.
Clean it up, DMOZ!
