What is DMOZ??

DMOZ can be very difficult to get into and frustrating at that. You basically submit, then you walk away and hope that they will add you. Over the years, Google and Yahoo have basically downgraded its importance

I'm really trying to get a much higher ranking on my website. Has any had any type of success with DMOZ.

I was under the impression that once you registered that you would be automatically added to the site. I am glad that I read this thread. I will need to go back into DMOZ and verify that my site has been included. Thanks.

DMOZ is the source of links on Google trust the most because it's edited by humans not by softwares.
Every links are monitored by experts.
Still valuable links some times are not getting indexed by this directory.
But i will Give DMOZ 10 out of 10 for it's excellency.

Has anyone actually been able to get into DMOZ/ I have had a number of sites, some with PR3 not being able to get in after a couple of months of waiting. I'm interested to hear your experiences.

DMOZ is an overrated free directory thats next to absurd to get into after bribery the editors. Okay, with my opinion aside it's one of the a lot of admired directories to have your business listed in if you yield the time to make sure it's there.
