DMOZ advise
About 4 months ago i made a rookie mistake and hired a company to do directory submissions for me. They submited to dmoz (god knows what catagory) when the site was not ready for it. (No unique content, no personal contact info, broken under construction pages and so on)
Well now after a few months of learning seo and building content on my site i believe it is now ready for a dmoz submission. Here is the problems i face:
1) The realtor associated with the site url has changed.
2) I have no idea if they have even reviewd the site yet, so if they get to it now, the description, title and contact info are going to be whack and i could get banned.
3) Ho do i know when to resubmit so i dont get banned for multiple submissions?
The error was mine in hiring the company (VKI - 1000 calms got me listed in about 10 directories - stay away) for the directory submissions. Now how to dig myself out from this hole?

You can submit once a year I believe.

Contact the Editor of the section you would like to be listed in. Ask for his "advise" on what you should do. This will do 2 things. First it may get you reviewed and in as many of those editors are introverts losers that want power. So if you make him feel powerful and all knowing they will scratch your back a little as well. 2. He will tell you want to do. I wouldnt wait a year if I were you I would just resubmit.

Its hard to get listed in there. The list of sites submitted and waiting to get listed must be huge. I still try though.

My advice about DMOZ is to resubmit once every 3 weeks until you either get an email from them or you get listed....this is what I have to do with all my client sites and sometimes its done in 1 or 2 weeks and sometimes 2 to 6 months.

There are rules about how often you can submit. Don't make them mad or you will never get in. Look around on the site for their instructions.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if your site hasn't even been reviewed yet. I know a couple of people that didn't get their site reviewed for months. They eventually just ended up resubmitting their sites.
DMOZ is pretty slow at reviewing sites because they just have the manpower for the amount of listings that come in. Having said that, it may take some time to get your site reviewed.
I actually know some people that submit their domain to DMOZ right when they buy it because they know it will take some time for it to get reviewed...

DMOZ is great but it can take for ever to get listed. They just don't have enough active editors. Just keep re-submitting, it will get you listed or annoy the editor into listing you...
