Hey guys i just want to know if anyone has been added to the dmoz directory. I wanted to picj your brain about somethings and the procedure.

LOL, fair enough. Look at the top competitors in your market, are they all listed in DMOZ? Do you give that much credit to this open directory? I would suggest that you submit your application and then move on to other SEO tasks (when/if you get approved, great... if not, then it was only 5 minutes wasted submitting).

I've gotten into DMOZ but it takes forever. Submit and if it's as good as the others in the category it will get added...eventually. You may want to submit to become an editor. If you're an editor, you'll get in a lot faster.

dmoz seems to take forever, i have submitted to dmoz as far as last year on some site, and have yet to see my listing appear, and yes, i followed the guide lines closely..

I have treid numerous times to get into DMOZ, I have what I think is a great site and have entered into different categories over time but never had a result yet, good luck to all!

I submitted once to DMOZ with no success. The thing DMOZ is does anybody actually use it to look for sites? Or does it just give a search engine stamp of approval?
