The attitude of DMOZ

It looks like Resource Zone does not have you are all the same being back the association there are still absolution 2/3 rds of you column - LOL. But that guy seemed to accept a point - it seems that you kept announcement letters calm in the same thread. That was very co-ordinated.

I wrote to a DMOZ regional editor a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard anything back. I couldn't find any relevant editors for the sub-categories I was interested in, and as he looks after more than 1m entries I doubt I will ever get a response. I have plenty of other good backlinks it just irritates the life out of me why I can't get this one!!

I've applied to the DMOZ but I've been told not to do it often or they'll ban you for that too.

I recall reading somewhere a comment written by a dmoz editor explaining that if you resubmit you are not banned or penalized but that it is pointless. This is because once submitted, even if it has not been reviewed by an editor your website is stored in the dmoz database. When it is submitted again the original is overwritten and the resubmit is treated as a fresh submission, i.e. it moves from wherever it was in the queue back to the bottom of it.
