Yahoo directory for $75?
I found this guy on digitalpoint who claims he can get you listed for $75 in the Yahoo! directory, I paid him about a week ago and he said it can take 3 weeks to get my listed, so I'm going to wait it out, but I'm interested to hear if anyone else has found similar success out there.
If this works out, I'm definitely going to buy in for a number of my sites, becuase it normally costs $299 to get into Yahoo! directory.

Yahoo Dir too costly
Hi, I feel Yahoo directory is too costly; a recurring annual fee of $299. There may be other options which can give better ROI.

This guy did a great job in keeping us all in suspense. It would be really nice to find out if the listing actually got placed. I know I might just be inclined to add a couple of my sites at 75 but 299 just seems excessive.

I dont really trust a lot of people on digital point especially seo guys a lot of them dont know what they are doing or are running scams. Who knows what will happen but for the most part i wouldnt go looking for deals there.
I usually just submit to a few directories if I was gonna do any paid one though it would be Yahoo.

Also meant to say but forgot: in terms of quality directories, Yahoo is good (apparently if you submit to the US version they ultimately include you in other versions, eg the Singapore version, the Ireland version, etc).
Also business.com's very good. In an age when many directories' internal pages have been stripped of their pagerank, some of business.com's internal pages still have PR5. Not cheap, though. $299 a year. Ouch.

IMHO the yahoo directory for any decent site is well worth the fee. Think as a real estate agent if you got 1 deal done that you could attribute to it, that would more then pay for it. It's sometimes hard to track this, but I'm sure if you did enough keyword research it would be well worth it.
That said, Best of the Web is a good alternative for $99 a year. Also, use promo code MAYDAY for 15% off, but it ends today.Lee H.
