I have several agents that I have talked to who all want to purchase their content from content providers, and some have also hired writers. I was trying to convince the agents that buying content from a mass content provider is a bad idea because you do not know what you are getting, and it is all duplicate content that you can already find on other sites through a simple Google search. I know that they are going to be penalized because of content duplication, but they would rather that than create content of their own. I really enjoy creating the neighborhood information and blog content, I dont know what the big deal is.

For one year I have started an experiment with two of my new real estate site.
For the first one I wrote 10 different articles and have posted them on 10 different sites. All 10 articles was recognised from google and yahoo as valid links.
For the seccond site I have written 1 article and have posted it to more than 200 sites - and guess what - 0 (zero) links!

    So - avoid duplicate contant!
Interesting but I don't follow. Can you dumb the above down for me as to what the second article was and why it produced zero results? I'm just not following this to well. Actually I've never heard of it so I would like to be more educated.

google does not like duplicate content. they will definitely ban your site. You have to have unique content on your website. If people say that duplicate content is ok is wrong.

I read so many articles concerning duplicated contents and found out that it's really bad for the website and for business!

A unique content in website is vital in Google Indexing. Coz once google found out the you have duplicated content, google will penalize you, reduce of PR and being slapped will be your greatest problem.
