    i have busted people on this several times, but have never taken the time to send them a cease and desist letter.

    Copy rights law should be more and more restrict to stop plagiarism.

    Cool Content theft is actually good

    Yes, it is my understanding that if content is copied from your site and pasted unto another, search engine robots will know between the original content and plagiarism.

    In fact it would surprise me if search engine algorithms would not take this into consideration.

    I believe if there's online plagiarism, this activity will at least go against the copy cat sites and at most benefit the original publisher.

    What do you think forum?

    copyscape.com is really a helpful tool, I've used it before. It's not perfect but it helps.

    I think this is how google works, and it makes sense to punish the perpetrator while giving some benefit to the original content provider.
