South East Denver Real Estate
I have a client who sells real estate in Southeast Denver. She has a templated website. She understands that there are limitations to having a templated website but wants to maximize her site before she gets a custom site. The website is www.sellingdenverhomes.com.
If anyone has any additional thoughts on maximizing this website, would love to get your input.
Regards,

Southeast Denver Real Estate Site
Template sites can really be tough. The limitations can really hamper SE optimization.
I have the same problems with http://www.sandiego-house.com, but Al and I have made some headway.
Without looking real deep, can the main image with the hot spots be replaced?

There are templates and there are templates.
First question I would ask. Is you client satisfied with the content of the site?
Second question. Is your client satisfied with the look and feel of the site?
If no to the first, improve the content then move to the second.
If yes to both questions, then I would recommend a makeover of the site using a search engine optimized design structure that will enhance usability, accessabilty and seach engine friendliness. She can either keep her present design for a makeover or use a new design.
Here is something you can do quickly. Images are ignored by search engines so the top image is a waste of valuable real estate
. It would take roughly 1/2 hour to recreate an exact-looking copy of top image with text over the image making it search engine friendly.
It is considered wise to stand on the shoulders of giants but foolish to put yourself in front of them.

I'm not sure if I'm following you here.
Wouldn't it still be an image, only an image with text that the SE still can't read? The SE just sees a jpg or gif, it doesn't try to discern what the image is or what it says.

I saw that someone advised you to work on the content of the site first and then move to its design and other things. I totally agree with him because content is the main thing which can give you good rankings in search engine but remember that the content which you use must be unique.
