  2. Mortgage Rates Fall for 4th Week in a Row

    Mortgage interest rates hit new lows for the year last week according to Freddie Mac's weekly rate survey. 30 year fixed mortgage rates averaged 4.63% (with .7 points) which was down 0.08% from the previous week and .30% lower than during the same period in 2010. 15 year mortgage rates slid from 3.89% to 3.82% (with .7 points). 5/1 ARM and 1/1 ARM rates also improved averaging out at 3.41% (.6 pts) and 3.11% (.5 pts) respectively.
