The same diversity of interests is present in Steamboat too, but in Steamboat, unlike many communities, a unifying interest tends to pervade the town: snow. What its consistency is on the slopes, when the next storm will bring more and when the generously long season ends and starts.

A town that gets up to 400 inches of Champagne powder ...

Apparently, Top Chef has found the right ingredients for their fare. The consumption of TV programming about, well, consumption in the literal sense has become a renewed sensation with a large fan base in the ever-succesful modicum of Team Red vs. Team Blue rivalry on Top Chef. The ever increasingly popular chef, Kenny Gilbert has been propelled not only to national fame, but also to a rather elevated station in his non-TV career as well. Now the head chef at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm ...

  5. Did You See That So-Cal Sunset?

    by , 07-16-2010 at 01:07 PM
Did you see that sunset? All over the southland yesterday, we had unusual weather for much of Southern California. Thunderstorms that gathered quickly and brought pouring rain, lightning and, of course, fires. The resulting mix of rain, smoke and humidity befitting Jakarta created an almost apocalyptic end to the day.

Apocalypse Disclaimer: Any reference to the apocalypse is referential only. No depiction of the actual apocalypse ...
