    Default Real Simple

Check out my new blog for some real simple advice: from a consumer to real estate agents.

Here's an excerpt from the latest post:

"Next you want to proceed into something I like to call politeland. Make them feel like they're important, people like that. "Is this a good time for you?" (Remember, leads have lives, too.) If they opt for a no, then ask them for a better time to contact them. Providing suggestions usually helps, for example: "Would it be better if I called you tomorrow evening after 6pm?" If they try to wiggle out of it all then, well I'd say stop effing harassing them. But, if you're really persistent you can try this next shot. Offer to send them an email instead. Think something along the lines of "You seem quite busy 'name', how about you give me your email address and I can send you a quick message with what I can offer you and some properties you may be interested in.""

If you think the advice sucks, well... say so. Even if you hate it, it'll be good for some laughs. I look forward to your come-backs!

Sounds good to me. Being pushy is something I dislike, if I say no I Freakin mean it-So that is how I approach being an agent. Be open, honest, happy, offer to help-but pushy I really do not think works with anyone. I won't BS anybody and I expect the same from them. If you are not interested I will offer to find you something else, but many just want to hang up/run away. I guess they think that I will somehow use Jedi mind tricks, Neural Linguistic Programing, Hypnosis, Black magic and a pinch of voodoo to force them to buy something?!

You should try not to post your excerpt from your latest post. Write something else and say read the story at my blog...

do a google search on your opening line. Google has already picked it up and its indexed as being here at www.realestateforum.com/ not at your blog.

copy and paste this and hit search.

    Default Too pushy?

A little bit of nice can go a long ways in today's world! I agree, no one likes pushy real estate agents!

I hate pushy people whether they are real estate agents, insurance people or any sales agents. By the way, I like your site. Nice postings.

Nice site, but why use an agent when you can DIY.
