I would suggest using blogger.com. Much easy to use. and it index fast on google.

If you really want to perform on your blog then pay someone who knows SEO to set it up for you, on your own domain, with the proper supporting services such as feedburner and etc.

Almost every blog platform has a lot of duplicate content issues as well as indexing issues due to the way they are built. These problems are fixable but require a heavy working knowledge of SEO and the software themselves.
