Default Help - Which blog should I be using?

I currently use tumblr.com and here is a link to my

I am thinking that I need to switch my blog over to wordpress. I'm realizing that there is more to it than this amateur was aware of.

wordpress.org or wordpress.com ? I understand that wordpress.org has way more customization to it, but it also sounds like it might be more difficult to manage???

I have a ton of content and I really like to write blogs, I'm just not sure if tumblr.com has enough customization for me to spend too much more time in and I'm worried that wordpress.org has too much customization and I'll be working on back end stuff more than I will be producing good quality content.

Thumbs up The Best Blog Platform - Wordpress.org or Wordpress.com

Tumbler is a good platform however has not been around as long as Wordpress. I heard an interesting fact last week. 13% of all websites on the internet are based on Wordpress.

I am not aware of the breakdown between the hosted solution located at Wordpress.com and the open source version located at Wordpress.org however I would imagine that it is probably about 80/20 with 80% being the open source version.

If you are not tech savvy, I would use the Wordpress.com platform but pay for the custom domain service.

If you have a bit of knowledge and time, the Wordpress open source version offers greater flexibility and more options, however also more opportunity to break it.

    Good Luck.

If you are a little anxious about making the move go to WordPress.com first - it is simple to export your posts and go to a .org site - however if you understand blogging and your tumblr site you very well may do fine with going with a .org site right out of the box - there is a lot of great help out there

Default WordPress is The Best Choice

Tumblr isn't a viable, long-term option if you plan on using your blog for business purposes. Tumblr is essentially a micro blog-social network hybrid.

WordPress provides plenty of options for real estate professionals.

We use the Google Blogger platform for our blogging. We bought a custom domain for it for $10/yr. We like that the posts get indexed very quickly in Google and tend to rank well (if they're optimized). It's very easy to manage the posts, layout, and sidebar options. It also links up well with Google + if you're using that platform at all.

    Good luck to you!

If you like to switch blog then best is to go with wordpress one and if you can host it on your own server then it's far more beneficial.

As you have ton of contents and you like to write blogs also why not book a domain by your name or your company name and use these contents to prepare a brand over web.
