Thumbs up An easy way to create a professional blog- ProBlogs.com

A great site to create a professional blog is at problogs.com. ProBlogs is easy to use and your blog can be customized so that it matches the current style of your website.

The site has a free account or you can upgrade for just a few bucks a month and get more space and no ads on your blog (more professional...)

One of the problems I have with blog servers is that the blog is not on your own domian. If a main purpose of a blog is to provide fresh content for your users and search engines then to me it makes sense for the blog to be on your own site integrated with the look and feel of the site and not sitting on a remote site.
It is considered wise to stand on the shoulders of giants but foolish to put yourself in front of them.

    Default New blogs & upkeep

Definitely they require constant up-keep. Also attracting people to your blog early on can be tough!
