Blogs and SEO with Flash-based websites
do blogs boost SEO even if they are in flash format?
-
this may depend on several factors such as the quality of the content, if the content in the blog is crawlable or readable by search engines, if the blog has good on page optimization etc.

Flash is pretty useless for SEO purposes. It may also slow down loading and with the new google algorithm out it could actually work against you. I have never cared for flash sites personally and always felt it was more of an ego thing then anything else.
Go to the top of your browser and click view then page source or whatever it is in IE I don't remember but that is what the Google crawlers see. The spiders don't care about flash unless it's video and then I'm not sure how the algorithm works.

flash blogs
You would have to hire a professional who specializes in Flash SEO. This requires a technical know-how to make your Flash website indexable. It also will cost a good chunk of money if you want to hire a true pro.
I do not see any advantage of having Flash based blog. You can make it pretty dazzling, etc but that will not attract readership and help your rankings. Your optimized, original, indexable content will.

I don't think flash-based websites' SEO can be boost, though usually flash-based sites looks more attractive than HTML-CSS based website. It can be a good way of attracting traffic. A beautiful lay-out plus quality content posts will attract visitors and in make them return.

Yes. I think it depends on the content itself of the site if it is readable by search engines. But the chance your site will rank high in search engine is very little.

All you have to do now is to put an extra effort on advertising your site. Yes, make sure it is indexed then, spread the URL, social bookmarks, and use your social networking accounts. I still suggest HTML-CSS codes.
