If you have it created by a professional it should enhance your image. There are so many things you can do with a blog that it is a huge wasted opportunity not to have one.

In fact, I'll go so far to say that if you don't have a blog on your domain you are missing out on the easiest and most effective way to promote yourself online.

Positives: Fresh content, Rss feed, Easy to post multimedia, each post has its own URL (easy to promote), plugins like commentluv have directories too so you can promote your blog to other sites depending on what you are using, ie Wordpress directories, plugin directories, etc.

They work well with displaying your social media profiles too.

If you have a professional make your blog it should look just as professional as any other site.

The best part about getting in on blogging now is steady organic traffic later.

Indeed, it somehow improves rank; just make sure that the blog that you will leave a comment is relevant to the website that you putted in the URL for commenting.
