Scott,
Great work on the site so far, you've gotten off to a really good start. Let me suggest a few pointers:
1. Where is the call to action? Your phone number or contact form should be visible as soon as I go to the page. For a free contact form, I would suggest iContact.com. On my loan modification site, FedMod.tv I have a big phone number and contact form at the top of every page.
2. More pictures! People love pictures, so make sure to put up pictures of your firm, of Orlando or anything having to do with mortgages.
You're doing a good job of promoting on forums like this, so keep it up!Wise Startup Blog Learn how to buy, sell, and profit from online businesses

Scott,
If you consider the majority of your users are coming to your main page, you should probably put the information on the main page.
Remember, what's the goal of your site? Is it to promote your real estate services or to get readers to contact you? Based on this, you can think of the best ways to advertise.
Think of your blog as a storefront. Would you put your secretary at the back of the store? Would you put all of your files in the front windows or your staff to greet people?
The same principles apply to a website, every visitor that comes to your page is looking for something, and you want to present every opportunity to promote to them as you can.
Hope this helps,
Andrew

Re: Orlando Blog
You are off to a good start. A few notes:
If you have a web site, put a link on your main blog page to it. Not only does that give people a place to go, but it creates a backlink for you main website. In addition on your website put a link to your blog. Creating quality links helps your pages rank higher on Google.
If you want, it should be rather easy to DOMINATE the first page of Google in your area. But that's a whole other topic.
In the third paragraph of you Jan 25th post, it is far from clear. You are asking the reader to go figure out what all this means rather than telling them, and then giving them a resource to check it out.
One last thing, and it's a minor one for sure. When you mention a hardship letter in your Jan 21 post, I would mention that it needs to be hand signed. We get folks who type something up and print it, but most lenders will reject that sort of thing and ask for it to be signed before they will accept it.

Hi Chris and thanks for the input. I put my website in the about me section on the far right but it did not create a link. Do I have to insert a seperate text box? or do I add it from the blog roll? I will check out my Jan 25th post and update the signature of the hardship letter as well. thank you for your help.

Blog
If you put http etc. before your web address in the about box it might show up as a link. Wordpress is particular about that in other places. I don't have an about box, so I don't know how that works.
You can also add a Links widget, and place your link there. In the links widget you can name the link whatever you want, and have the actual web address hidden. So the link could appear as "Check Out Our Stupendous Site!" and anyone clicking on that would go to whatever web site you want.
You can probably do the same in the about box, but it would require a bit of html coding, which is not as hard as most people want to think it is.
I'm assuming that there is an html option in the box. Then in the text of the box add... well since I don't have enough posts to enter a web address the system won't let me post the code cause it thinks I'm try to put an address here.
Hmm... lets see if there is a way.
The code is <a href="Then you would put the web address">Then what you want the link text to show the viewer</a>
The web address needs to be the complete address starting with the http. Leave the quotes in where I show them.
That is all there is to it.
What you may be able to tell me is how you have the subscribe boxes on your page. I can't find any way to do that.

I used an add text widget and got the code from feedburner.com. I had to create a seperate account and then I just did the copy and paste.
