Thread: Real Estate web designer / graphic designer wanted

There are two things a web page can do for you

#1 Be a place for your prospects to check you out (a passive site). Concentration should be on aesthetics to make you look professional. You gave them your business card now they want to contact you. Pretty simple site. 5 to 10 pages pages of content. linking in your listings.
$5,000 - $7,000.

#2 Lead generation - expert niche site - top 10 search engine site. This would require $20,000 to $50,000 in cost and take 6 months to a year to create hundreds of pages of unique content. You better have a great idea for the niche.

Just think how many realtor site you have to compete with...

The best course of action I know is getting a listing web page on a 300 page niche website directory. Like in the niche realtor probate marketing. The Google search engine count the 300 pages these master sites have and considers these pages your content.

The realtor probate marketing sites I know of just charge $297 a year for advertising and already have huge traffic. A bargain compared to the other options.

You have to think "out of the box" to succeed.

probate is a trillion $ market... find a way to tap into it!

There is not a web designer on the planet that will accept the offer to build you a site just to allow you them to have a banner ad on it.

You are going to have to open your wallet... just like the rest of us!

I'd recommend you transfer the site to another domain to keep all the content (advertising) somewhere. I must say you have nearly everything on your website except true content. It's like looking at one big advertisement. Seriously, who would look at all those banners and ads without something useful to read.

I think I might have missed the point of your website. Are you providing lots of vaulable information that attracts people to read through it, learn from it, and trust it as a source for reference.

Is it a collection of what referral services you can get people to buy? It looks like one bug GOTCHA
HAHA, and those suckers thought that Do it yourself Home sellers were looking to do it themselves.

Remember that a site redesign won't do you much good if you lack content. Now, think of something you would tell a person looking to sell a home themselves and add it to the site. You can do it!

Thank you for your "opinion", I will take that into consideration. However, I believe you kind of trailed off on tangents there. If you look closely at the initial post it specifically states

I am looking for a web designer/graphics designer who knows real estate too. I need help re-designing my website. In return I am offering 1 free year of marketing and advertising on all your properties/services.

Best of luck and I hope you took no offense from my opinion. Maybe you can provide more information about what you want your website to look like if you don't wish to have free unsolicited feedback regarding your need for a redesign.

No problem, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. A vast majority of the content are for actual members of the site (ie, when someone signs up for an account {even free buyer or seller ones}) We have tons of articles that we have written..but we also want to build our marketing list the correct way by getting people to take action and sign up.

I too, being a rookie in the graphic design area and an expert in real estate would not design a whole lot for just one year of banner space....
shoot me a message though with what you have in mind..if it's not too extensive, we might be able to work something out..

I own a small (6 person) but well established web development company in Savannah, GA. You may find someone who is just starting out to help you here but it is very unlikely. Probate_atty is so spot on that when I read the comment my diet pepsi shot out my nose

Our website are often compared (or bid against) websites 2 or 3 times the price. I know we give the most value I have seen (not a sales pitch, just for the purposes of the discussion) and our latest Real Estate site was 3500.

I understand where everyone is coming from...but my message was to target someone who is interested, not someone who isn't My company is fairly new and I am willing to work with a new company as well or just with someone who needs the extra cash.
