starbucks closing
yes. They are closing a lot of stores in Boston as well. The economy is really taking its toll on businesses.

Starbucks announced they are closing close to 600 stores last week.

No kidding. From my apartment in suburban Portland I can see 4 different Starbucks locations from the same place on my back deck. Its not that I have an incredible view or anything, its just that there are so many of them in the same little shopping center. They were even going to build another even closer to me, but that one got shut down halfway through building it.

The opposite thing is happening here in my area. Lots of Starbucks are sprouting in every commercial space. I wonder...

I work at a Starbucks in California, and the prices at Starbucks rose 5 cents. This is the first price increase in two years. It is not greedy, because they just gave everyone raises their staff for their hard work, what they do. Prices for everything go up gradually and the price of coffee was no different.
