    Default Buying billboards

A friend of mine and I wanted to start a business together. Billboards came to mind so we are trying to research them. We want to buy the billboards and rent the ad space. Can it a lucrative business? I know you have to lease the land the billboard is on. We would of course start with 1 or 2 and hopefully expand as time went on. If anyone could push me in the right direction to find out more information I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

    Default Billboards

Why not create revenue for building owners by placing billboards on the roofs of their buildings; Creates new money for them; Great visibility for you!

    then sell the advertising space

That is a great idea. The thing is I could not approach a business right now with any background in the business. I wouldn't know what I could pay or how I would set up the billboard. We would like to simply buy an established one right now and hopefully make enough off of it to pay for the loan we would be getting to buy the billboard(if one is needed). Thanks for the idea!

Have you done much research in this area? i.e. typical billboard cost, how much adspace goes for from popular interstate to smaller highway, laws and codes... etc.

I personally have none, but i think it sounds interesting and would be nice to learn about.

That is some of the info I was fishing for. What would be the best way to find this info ask. Who should we call? If we built the billboard on some leased land would most general construction firms be able to put up a billboard? Thanks guys.

Billboard is working well in Mongolia on new development of property. I don't know how it's on overseas. Maybe same.
