    Default would a misdemeanor affect me getting my license?

    i was caught shop lifting 3 years ago and now i have a on my record. Would this really affect me getting my license? I know i was stupid for shop lifting i was influenced by a group of friends. I've learned my lesson =/

    I think this is one of those things where you would just have to submit your application and see. I would definitely make sure you disclose it and write a very contrite explanation letter.

    The answer to your question is most likely it will not prevent you from getting a license as long as you are honest about the incedent and disclose it in your application with a letter explaining the situation as Mike had noted.
