URGENT, Why my payoff has $1000 fee?

Hi every one, I called my mortgage Co.(CHASE) the automated system gave my payoff balance till Sep15( closing date) almost $1000

on the top of the loan balance.(that $1000 is not included my 15 days pmt for September)
my loan is $169904.

Do you think this is normal?

You have to understand that your loan balance that they send you in the mail each month is different from you actual payoff amount. Are you saying that the extra $1,000 is NOT including the interest for the 15 days in September?

Skip the automatic service and talk to a real person they should be able to explain it to you. They be surprised that you are actually paying the loan off and not just walking away . . .
