Dallas is doing better than most of the larger cities around the U.S mostly bec. of steady appreciation it has received over the past couple of years. Cities in states like Florida and California experienced a tremendous amount of growth and appreciation in a short period of time which put them closer to a bust. Economy is great here in Dallas, across the board. Of course there are still quite a few foreclosures which has created a huge market for investment. I get calls every day from investors out of CA, FL and around the nation esp. in Australia, Canada looking to put there money in the Dallas market. This has also helped Dallas sustain life while many other local re economies are in a downward spiral.

Default Some parts of Virginia are still good

Once you get out of the DC metro area, Virginia is doing fairly well. Richmond and Charlottesville are growing markets

    Default Keep hearing Spartanburg SC

It is out of my market, about 45-60 minutes away, but keep seeing stuff about how good it is doing. My area, Anderson, is not experiencing price drops but the rate of sales haved dropped about 20% since the same time period last year.

Houston set another record for both medina home sale price and average home sale price. You can read about updated numbers for June by clicking on the link below.
