    Default how much does it REALLY cost??

    i am thinking of purchasing a home...

    theoretically speaking:

    im approved for $110,000 loan with 0 down (VA loan for military)

    at 100K mortgage with 5.75 is $590.

    what are the real monthly costs for this house though....

    utilities, insurance, average cost of maintenance, anything else im forgetting.


    im sure someone on here knows all about this.. so please... i would appreciate any help.

    in the suburbs of Oklahoma City Oklahoma.

    Your mortgage lender should be able to give you a break down of loan, taxes, and insurance.

    As far as utilities, you could ask prior homeowner for a couple months worth of statements to figure out what the avg costs could be, but that doesn't mean that's what you will pay - everyone lives differently. Put together a list of services and utilities you use so you at least know what your out of pocket expenses are currently.

    Be aware of other costs that may be associated with living in some communities that offer ammenities like a fitness center, pool and ...

    Real estate agents and lenders in the area you are looking will be the only ones who can answer these questions. Taxes vary from location to location, utilities vary from house to house and insurance can vary too. ie location from fire hydrant.
