Default Slow to get bank signatures on a foreclosure offer (REO)?

Is it typical for banks to be slow accepting offers? I was told by the Realtor representing them that they were definitely going to accept my offer late last week.

Any similar experiences or know what the bank buearacracy is like for signing offers?

    Thanks for the feedback!

In my area the banks are commonly taking about 3 weeks to get signed paperwork out. Look to see if the property has been changed over to pending status in the MLS.

Same thing here, they verbally agree to it pend it on the MLS and then you wait. 2 - 3 weeks seems to be the average around here.
